Everything that follows in this portfolio rests upon this single truth:
Williamson Christian Church belongs to Jesus Christ.
It did not begin with us.
It will not end with us.
More than a century ago, faithful believers established this church as a witness to the
gospel in Williamson. They built more than a building—they established a place where
God's Word would be preached, His people would gather, and His name would be honored.
Today, we receive the privilege of continuing that sacred trust.
We do not gather to build our own kingdom.
We do not gather to preserve a building for its own sake.
We do not gather to make much of ourselves.
We gather for one purpose:
That Jesus Christ would be glorified.
If He is not the One building this church, then every plan we make, every sermon we
preach, every ministry we begin, and every effort we offer will ultimately be in vain.
Therefore, we dedicate ourselves to seeking His will above our own, trusting His Word
above our opinions, depending upon His strength above our abilities, and pursuing His
glory above every earthly measure of success.
We have not been called to build our church.
We have been entrusted to faithfully steward His church.
May every decision we make, every life we touch, and every generation that follows find us
faithful to the sacred trust that has been placed in our hands.
For His glory alone.

A Letter to the Church
To the leaders, members, and future family of Williamson Christian Church,
Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
More than one hundred years ago, faithful men and women established Williamson
Christian Church as a witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ. They could not have known the
names or faces of those who would worship here generations later, yet they believed Christ
was worthy of their labor, their sacrifice, and their faith.
Because of their faithfulness, this church has stood as a witness in this community since
1918.
Today, we have been given the privilege of becoming the next stewards of that witness.
When I first became aware that Williamson Christian Church had closed its doors, I did not
simply see an empty building. I saw a place where generations had worshiped together,
where children had learned the Scriptures, where families had celebrated life's greatest
joys and walked through its deepest sorrows, and where the gospel of Jesus Christ had
been faithfully proclaimed.
Rather than asking only why the church had closed, I found myself asking a different
question:
"Lord, is there still work for this church to do?"
That question led me to seek out those entrusted with the care of this church. Not because
I was looking for a position, but because I believe every faithful church has value in the
Kingdom of God.
Buildings are not the church.
People are the church.
Yet throughout Scripture, God has often used places dedicated to His worship as beacons
of hope to surrounding communities. My prayer is that Williamson Christian Church will
once again shine as such a beacon—a lighthouse where Christ is proclaimed, His Word is
faithfully taught, His people are encouraged, and our neighbors know they are welcome.
My desire is not simply to unlock a building.
My desire is to help continue a legacy.
I do not come with promises of rapid growth or easy success, because Scripture never
promises those things.

What I can promise is this:
I will faithfully preach God's Word.
I will seek the Lord through prayer.
I will shepherd the people God entrusts to my care.
I will lead with humility, honesty, and integrity.
I will strive to serve this community with the love of Jesus Christ.
I believe healthy churches are built one disciple at a time, one family at a time, one act of
service at a time, and one faithful step of obedience at a time.
My hope is that Williamson Christian Church will continue to be known as a place where
the Bible is taught faithfully, where grace and truth walk hand in hand, where broken people
find hope, where children learn to love God, where families grow stronger, and where every
person who enters these doors encounters the love of Christ.
This church does not belong to me.
It never has.
It never will.
It belongs to Jesus Christ.
Our calling is not to build our own legacy, but to faithfully continue the work of those who
came before us, while preparing this church for those who will come after us.
Today, we receive far more than the keys to a building.
We receive the privilege—and the responsibility—of stewarding a ministry that has
faithfully pointed people to Christ for more than a century.
My prayer is that years from now, another generation will look back on this season and say
that we were faithful stewards of what God entrusted to us. May they inherit a church that
still proclaims Christ, still loves its neighbors, still serves with humility, and still stands as a
lighthouse for the gospel in Williamson.
Thank you for your trust, your kindness, and the opportunity to serve alongside you.
May everything we do bring honor and glory to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Why We Are Here

Williamson Christian Church exists for one reason above every other:
To glorify God by proclaiming Jesus Christ and making faithful disciples.
That has been its purpose since faithful believers established this church in 1918.
That remains our purpose today.
It must remain our purpose for every generation that follows.
A Sacred Trust
Every generation receives something from those who came before.
Some receive land.
Some receive traditions.
Some receive a family name.
We have received something far greater.
We have received the privilege of stewarding a faithful witness to Jesus Christ that has
stood in this community for more than one hundred years.
We are not the founders of this church.
Neither are we its owners.
We are its current stewards.
Our responsibility is not simply to preserve a building, but to faithfully continue the mission
for which it was built.
Why This Church Matters
Communities change.
Generations change.
Needs change.
But the gospel never changes.
People still need forgiveness.

Families still need hope.
Children still need truth.
The lonely still need fellowship.
The hurting still need compassion.
The lost still need a Savior.
As long as those needs remain, the mission of Christ's Church remains.
For that reason, Williamson Christian Church still has work to do.
Our Calling
We have not gathered merely to reopen doors.
We have gathered to renew a faithful witness.
We have not gathered to protect the past.
We have gathered to faithfully carry it into the future.
Every sermon preached...
Every prayer offered...
Every child taught...
Every visitor welcomed...
Every meal shared...
Every act of kindness...
Every word of encouragement...
Every opportunity to share the gospel becomes another page in the continuing story of
what God has been doing here since 1918.
Our Measure of Success
The world often measures success by numbers, recognition, influence, or wealth.
Scripture measures success differently.
God looks for faithfulness.
If we faithfully proclaim His Word...

If we faithfully serve our neighbors...
If we faithfully point people to Jesus Christ...
Then we will have fulfilled the purpose for which this church exists.
The results belong to God.
The responsibility belongs to us.
Looking Forward
We cannot change the past.
We do not know everything the future holds.
But today we have the privilege of serving Christ in this generation.
Our prayer is that those who come after us will inherit more than a beautiful building.
May they inherit a church that still believes the Bible.
A church that still preaches Christ.
A church that still serves its community.
A church that still welcomes the broken.
A church that still loves one another.
A church that is still known as a lighthouse for the gospel.
And when our season of stewardship is complete, may another generation receive this
same sacred trust and find that we have been faithful.
For this church has never been ours.
It has always belonged to Jesus Christ.
And to Him alone belongs all glory.

Our Mission
The mission of Williamson Christian Church is unchanged from the day faithful believers
first established this congregation in 1918.
We exist:
To glorify God by faithfully proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, making disciples,
loving one another, serving our community, and passing a faithful witness to the
generations that follow.
Everything we do should support that mission.
Every ministry.
Every sermon.
Every prayer.
Every decision.
Every act of service.
If an activity does not help us glorify God, proclaim Christ, make disciples, or serve others
in His name, then it does not advance the purpose for which this church exists.
Our Vision
Our vision is not simply to grow a congregation.
Our vision is to become the kind of church that honors Jesus Christ in every generation.
We pray that Williamson Christian Church will continue to stand as a lighthouse for the
gospel in this community—a place where Christ is exalted, Scripture is faithfully preached,
prayer is central, and people encounter both the truth of God's Word and the love of God's
people.
We envision a church where:
• Jesus Christ is honored above all else.
• The Bible is preached faithfully and without compromise.

• The lost hear the gospel and are invited to follow Jesus Christ.
We envision a church that is known throughout Williamson not simply because of its
building, but because of its people.
A people who love generously.
Serve humbly.
Give sacrificially.
Forgive freely.
Pray continually.
Live faithfully.
And proclaim Christ boldly.
Our Legacy
We recognize that we are only one generation in the history of this church.
Faithful believers came before us.
By God's grace, faithful believers will come after us.
Therefore, our vision extends beyond our own lifetime.
We do not seek merely to leave behind a well-maintained building.
We seek to leave behind a church that is spiritually healthy, biblically grounded, and
passionately committed to Jesus Christ.

Our desire is that generations yet unborn will walk through these doors, hear the gospel
proclaimed without compromise, and discover the same Savior who has transformed lives
here since 1918.
Our Prayer
May Williamson Christian Church always be a place where Jesus Christ is exalted, God's
Word is honored, His people are equipped, our neighbors are loved, and every generation is
encouraged to faithfully continue the sacred trust that has been entrusted to us.
For His glory.

Our values are not trends or preferences.
They are biblical principles that shape who we are, how we serve, and how we relate to
God, one another, and our community.
They are the foundation upon which every ministry, every decision, and every relationship
within Williamson Christian Church should be built.
Christ Above Everything
Jesus Christ is the Head of His Church.
Everything we do begins with Him, depends upon Him, and exists for His glory.
We will never elevate personalities, programs, traditions, or preferences above our Savior.

God's Glory Above Our Own
Our greatest desire is not to make a name for ourselves.
Our desire is that Jesus Christ would be known, honored, and glorified.
If people leave talking about us, we have missed the point.
If they leave talking about Christ, we have succeeded.
"Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."

Truth Over Popularity
God's Word is our authority.
We will faithfully teach and live the Scriptures, even when doing so is difficult or unpopular.
Our responsibility is not to change God's message to fit the culture, but to faithfully
proclaim His truth with grace and love.

We will seek the Lord.
We recognize that no ministry succeeds apart from His power and His direction.
People Before Programs
Programs are tools.
People are the mission.
Every ministry exists to help people know Christ, grow in Christ, and serve Christ.
Relationships will always matter more than schedules.
Character Before Charisma
God is more interested in who we are than in how impressive we appear.
We value integrity over image, humility over recognition, and faithfulness over talent.
A godly character is the strongest testimony any believer can possess.
Service Before Self
Following the example of Jesus Christ, we willingly place the needs of others before our
own.
Leadership is service.
Membership is service.
Ministry is service.
We are never more like Christ than when we humble ourselves to serve another.

Our Foundation
Everything we do begins with one conviction:
Jesus Christ is the Head of His Church.
He established it.
He purchased it with His own blood.
He sustains it.
He alone gives spiritual life and growth.
Therefore, our responsibility is not to build His Church according to our own wisdom, but to
faithfully follow Him as He builds it according to His will.
Our Purpose
The purpose of Williamson Christian Church has remained unchanged since faithful
believers established this congregation in 1918.
We exist to glorify God.
Everything else flows from that purpose.
We preach so that God is glorified.
We serve so that God is glorified.
We disciple so that God is glorified.
We worship so that God is glorified.
We love one another so that God is glorified.
Our ministry is never about building our reputation.
It is about reflecting His.
Our Authority
The Bible is our final authority for faith, doctrine, and practice.

Culture changes.
Opinions change.
Methods change.
God's Word does not.
Therefore, every sermon, every ministry, every decision, and every direction this church
takes must be measured against the truth of Scripture.
We are not free to rewrite God's Word.
We are called to faithfully proclaim it.
Our Stewardship
We recognize that we are not the first generation to serve Christ through Williamson
Christian Church.
Nor, by God's grace, will we be the last.
Faithful believers laid this foundation over one hundred years ago.
They prayed.
They sacrificed.
They served.
They gave.
They faithfully passed the torch to those who followed.
Today, that torch has been placed into our hands.
We receive it with gratitude.
We carry it with humility.
Our responsibility is not merely to preserve the past.
Our responsibility is to faithfully continue the mission entrusted to us while preparing the
next generation to carry it even farther.
We are not owners.
We are stewards.

God celebrates faithfulness.
Success is not measured first by attendance.
Nor by finances.
Nor by recognition.
Success is measured by faithful obedience.
If Christ is honored...
If Scripture is proclaimed...
If disciples are made...
If people are loved...
If the gospel is shared...
Then we have succeeded, regardless of the numbers.
The increase belongs to God.
The faithfulness belongs to us.
Our Ministry
We believe healthy ministry is built through simple, biblical priorities.
We will preach the Word faithfully.
We will pray earnestly.
We will worship sincerely.
We will disciple intentionally.
We will love generously.
We will serve humbly.
We will reach our community compassionately.
Programs may change.
Methods may change.
Technology may change.

But these priorities must never change.
Our Leadership
Leadership within Christ's Church is not about power.
It is about service.
Our Lord washed the feet of His disciples before giving His life for them.
Therefore, every leader in this church should seek first to serve.
Authority without humility is dangerous.
Leadership without love is empty.
Influence without integrity cannot endure.
We desire leaders whose lives reflect the character of Jesus Christ.
Our Hope
We do not know what God intends to accomplish through Williamson Christian Church
during our generation.
But we know this:
If we remain faithful to Christ...
Faithful to His Word...
Faithful to one another...
And faithful to the mission entrusted to us...
Then we may confidently leave the results in His hands.
One day another generation will stand where we now stand.
May they inherit more than a beautiful building.
May they inherit a church whose people loved God deeply, loved one another sincerely,
served their neighbors faithfully, proclaimed Christ boldly, and walked humbly before their
Lord.
If that is our legacy, then we will have served well.

Our First Year of Stewardship
"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven."

The work before us is not simply to reopen a church.
It is to faithfully steward a ministry that has served this community since 1918.
Our desire during this first year is not merely to become busy.
Our desire is to become faithful.
Everything we do should strengthen the church's witness, deepen our dependence upon
Christ, and prepare future generations to continue this ministry long after we are gone.
Phase One
Prayer, Listening, and Preparation
(First 30 Days)
Before we make plans, we will seek the Lord.
Before we speak, we will listen.
Before we change anything, we will learn.
During this first month we will:
• Pray over every room, every classroom, and every ministry space.
• Dedicate the church and its future to the Lord.
• Meet with former members and leaders who are willing to share the church's
history.
• Learn from those who faithfully carried this ministry before us.
• Inspect the building and address immediate maintenance and safety needs.
• Establish a consistent schedule for worship, Bible study, and prayer.
• Begin introducing ourselves to our neighbors and the surrounding community.
Our first responsibility is not activity.
Our first responsibility is faithfulness.

Phase Two
Rebuilding Through the Word
(Months Two and Three)
Healthy churches are built on healthy disciples.
Our focus will be on establishing strong biblical teaching and meaningful relationships.
We will:
• Faithfully preach the whole counsel of God's Word.
• Establish regular Bible studies.
• Build a church-wide prayer ministry.
• Personally welcome every visitor.
• Begin identifying and encouraging future ministry leaders.
• Develop relationships that extend beyond Sunday morning.
Rather than asking,
"How many people attended?"
We will ask,
"Who is growing in Christ?"
Phase Three
Serving Our Community
(Months Four through Six)
Jesus did not simply preach to people.
He loved them.
He served them.
He met them where they were.
As His church, we desire to do the same.
During this season we will prayerfully seek opportunities to:

• Serve our neighbors with compassion.
• Support local families whenever possible.
• Encourage first responders, veterans, educators, and those who faithfully serve our
community.
• Participate in community events as servants rather than spectators.
• Invite others into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
We desire to become known not first for our building, but for our love.
Phase Four
Strengthening the Next Generation
(Months Seven through Twelve)
Every healthy church must prepare for tomorrow while serving faithfully today.
During this season we will:
• Continue developing leaders.
• Strengthen children's and family ministries.
• Encourage discipleship relationships across generations.
• Evaluate every ministry to ensure it fulfills our mission.
• Celebrate God's faithfulness while seeking His direction for the future.
Our greatest accomplishment will not be what we build during this year.
It will be preparing others to faithfully continue the work after us.
Looking Beyond One Year
The first year is only the beginning.
Faithful believers invested in this church long before we arrived.
By God's grace, faithful believers will continue serving long after we are gone.
Therefore, every decision we make should answer one question:

Will this strengthen the church for the next generation?
If the answer is yes, then it is worthy of our time, our energy, and our prayers.
Our Prayer
Lord,
Teach us to build carefully.
Teach us to serve humbly.
Teach us to love faithfully.
Teach us to steward wisely.
May we honor those who came before us.
May we faithfully serve those beside us.
May we leave this church spiritually stronger for those who will follow us.
For this church belongs to Jesus Christ.
To Him alone be all glory.

The Pastor's Covenant
"Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint,
but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind... And when the chief Shepherd shall
appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away."

No man owns Christ's Church.
No pastor builds Christ's Church.
No congregation belongs to itself.
This church belongs to Jesus Christ alone.
As the one entrusted with shepherding this congregation for a season, I recognize that I will
one day stand before the Chief Shepherd and give an account for how I cared for His
people.
Therefore, before God and before this church family, I gladly make this covenant.
I Will Love Christ Above All Else
Before I can faithfully shepherd God's people, I must faithfully follow God's Son.
My first calling is not to ministry.
My first calling is to Jesus Christ.
I will seek Him daily through His Word, through prayer, and through obedience, knowing
that I cannot lead others where I am unwilling to go myself.
I Will Faithfully Preach the Whole Counsel of God
The Scriptures will always be the foundation of my preaching.
I will not shape the Bible to fit the culture.
I will ask the culture to submit to the authority of God's Word.
I will preach with conviction, humility, compassion, and grace, always pointing people to
Jesus Christ.
I Will Be a Shepherd
A shepherd knows his sheep.
He walks with them.

He rejoices with them.
He grieves with them.
He protects them.
He feeds them.
I desire to know this church family, to walk beside them in seasons of joy and sorrow, and
to faithfully care for those whom God entrusts to me.
Life has taught me that many of the deepest wounds are invisible. Some are carried in the
body, others in the heart, and still others in the mind or spirit.
Because of that, I pray this church will always be a place where grace is extended freely,
truth is spoken lovingly, burdens are shared willingly, and every person is reminded that
their greatest hope is found in Jesus Christ.
I Will Lead as a Servant
Jesus washed the feet of His disciples before giving His life for them.
If the Son of God chose the path of humble service, then no pastor should seek anything
greater.
I will strive to lead by example rather than by title.
To listen before speaking.
To serve before expecting to be served.
To encourage more often than I correct.
To remember that leadership is measured not by authority, but by sacrifice.
I Will Protect the Unity of the Church
Unity is one of God's greatest gifts to His people.
It must be guarded with humility, patience, truth, and love.
I will encourage honest conversation.
I will confront division with grace.
I will never compromise biblical truth, but neither will I allow personal preference to
become more important than Christian love.
I Will Continue Growing
Continuing a Legacy of Faith Since 1918 — For His Glory Alone
No pastor ever graduates from learning.
I remain a student of God's Word.
I will continue to study faithfully, seek wise counsel, welcome accountability, and remain
teachable throughout my ministry.
If I cease growing in Christ, I cannot faithfully lead others toward Him.
I Will Prepare the Next Generation
This church has stood as a witness to Jesus Christ since 1918 because faithful believers
prepared those who came after them.
I now receive that same sacred trust.
My responsibility is not merely to shepherd today's church.
It is to help prepare tomorrow's church.
I will seek to encourage future leaders, disciple younger believers, and strengthen families
so that the gospel will continue to be faithfully proclaimed long after my own season of
ministry has ended.
My Promise
This ministry has been entrusted to me as a gift from God.
It is a privilege.
It is an act of worship.
Therefore, I will serve gladly.
I will labor faithfully.
I will love sincerely.
I will lead humbly.
I will point people continually to Jesus Christ.
When my ministry is complete, my prayer is not that people will remember my name.

More than one hundred years ago, faithful believers established Williamson Christian
Church as a testimony to Jesus Christ in this community.
They prayed.
They worshiped.
They served.
They sacrificed.
They faithfully handed this church to the generation that followed them.
Today, we receive that same sacred trust.
As the current generation entrusted with this ministry, we willingly make this covenant
before God and one another.
We Will Love One Another
Jesus taught that love would be the defining mark of His disciples.
Therefore, we will choose kindness over criticism.
Encouragement over discouragement.
Forgiveness over bitterness.
Unity over division.
Every person who enters these doors will be treated with dignity because every person
bears the image of God.
We Will Keep Christ at the Center
Buildings can become idols.
Traditions can become idols.
Programs can become idols.
Even personalities can become idols.
Jesus Christ alone is the Head of His Church.

Every ministry, every decision, every conversation, and every act of worship must point
people to Him.
We Will Honor God's Word
The Scriptures will remain our final authority.
We will gladly receive biblical teaching.
We will study God's Word together.
We will seek to obey it with humility.
We will allow God's truth—not personal preference—to guide our lives and this church.
We Will Pray Together
Prayer is not simply something we do before meetings.
Prayer is how we acknowledge our dependence upon God.
We will seek Him before making decisions.
We will pray for one another.
We will pray for our community.
We will pray that Christ will be glorified in everything this church does.
We Will Serve Before Self
Following the example of Jesus Christ, we will look for opportunities to serve rather than
waiting to be served.
Every believer has been gifted by God.
Every believer has a place in His work.
No act of service is too small when it is offered for the glory of Christ.
We Will Welcome the Stranger
Every visitor is more than a guest.
Every visitor is a person whom God loves.
We will welcome people with warmth, humility, and genuine hospitality.

Whether someone has walked with Christ for decades or is entering a church for the very
first time, our desire is that they encounter both the truth of God's Word and the love of
God's people.
We Will Extend Grace
We recognize that every one of us is still growing.
There will be mistakes.
There will be misunderstandings.
There will be moments when forgiveness is needed.
As Christ has shown grace to us, we covenant to extend that same grace to one another.
We Will Protect Our Unity
We understand that disagreement may come.
Division must not.
We will speak with one another rather than about one another.
We will refuse gossip.
We will seek reconciliation quickly.
We will remember that unity is a gift from God that must be protected with humility,
patience, and love.
We Will Faithfully Steward This Legacy
This church does not belong to our generation alone.
Faithful believers built it before us.
Faithful believers, by God's grace, will worship here after us.
We receive this ministry as stewards—not owners.
Therefore, we covenant to leave Williamson Christian Church spiritually stronger than we
found it.
We will preserve its faithful witness.
We will strengthen its ministries.
We will disciple the next generation.

We will faithfully pass this sacred trust into their hands.
Our Shared Commitment
Today we stand together—not as owners of this church, but as servants of Jesus Christ.
We receive with gratitude the legacy entrusted to us.
We accept with humility the responsibility placed before us.
And we covenant before God and one another:
To love deeply.
To serve faithfully.
To forgive freely.
To pray continually.
To proclaim Jesus Christ boldly.
To seek God's glory above our own.
And to leave behind a church that faithfully points the next generation to Jesus Christ.

Let us pray.
Our gracious and Heavenly Father,
Today we come before You with humble and grateful hearts.
We acknowledge that this church has never belonged to us.
It belonged to You when faithful believers first dreamed of building it.
It belonged to You when the cornerstone was laid in 1918.
It belonged to You through every sermon preached, every hymn sung, every prayer offered,
every child dedicated, every marriage celebrated, every tear shed, and every soul that
found salvation within these walls.
It belongs to You today.
And it will belong to You long after we are gone.
Father, today we do not dedicate a building.
That was done long ago.
Today we dedicate ourselves.
We present ourselves to You as servants who have received the privilege of stewarding a
ministry faithfully carried by generations before us.
We thank You for those men and women whose names many of us will never know.
Thank You for their prayers.
Thank You for their sacrifices.
Thank You for their faithfulness.
Because they remained faithful, we now have the privilege of standing where they once
stood.
Lord, may we prove equally faithful.
Forgive us whenever we become more concerned with our own plans than with Your will.

Forgive us whenever pride seeks to replace humility.
Forgive us whenever comfort becomes more important than obedience.
Teach us to seek Your face before seeking our own success.
May Jesus Christ always be the Head of this church.
May Your Holy Word always be preached without compromise.
May prayer always be our first response.
May love always mark our fellowship.
May grace always temper our words.
May truth always guide our decisions.
May service always define our leadership.
May every person who enters these doors encounter the hope that is found only in Jesus
Christ.
May the weary find rest.
May the broken find healing.
May the lonely find family.
May the searching find truth.
May the sinner find forgiveness.
May the believer find encouragement.
May every life be drawn closer to Christ.
Father, protect this church.
Guard it from division.
Guard it from pride.
Guard it from complacency.
Guard it from false teaching.
Guard it from anything that would diminish the glory of Jesus Christ.
Instead, fill this place with faith.

Fill it with wisdom.
Fill it with compassion.
Fill it with courage.
Fill it with humility.
Raise up children who will one day love and serve You.
Raise up young men and women who will faithfully proclaim the gospel.

Raise up leaders whose character reflects the heart of Christ.
And when the day comes that our generation has finished its work, may we place this
sacred trust into the hands of those who follow us with confidence, knowing that they too
desire to glorify You.
Father, we ask for no recognition.
We seek no reputation.
We desire no earthly glory.
If this church grows...

If lives are transformed...

To exalt Jesus Christ.
To proclaim His gospel.
To make faithful disciples.
To serve this community.
And to declare, from one generation to the next, that You alone are worthy of all honor, all

Build what You desire to build.

Correct where You desire to correct.
Strengthen where You desire to strengthen.
And may we simply be found faithful stewards until the day we see our Savior face to face.

A Charge to This Generation
"Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. Let all your things be done
with charity."

Every generation receives a choice.
Some merely inherit what was given to them.
Others faithfully strengthen it before passing it to those who follow.
Today, we have received a sacred trust.
More than a century ago, faithful believers-built Williamson Christian Church to proclaim
the gospel of Jesus Christ.
They prayed when no one was watching.
They gave when no one applauded.
They served without seeking recognition.
They remained faithful because they believed Jesus Christ was worthy.
They have now finished their race.
The stewardship has been placed into our hands.
One day, our generation will also complete its work.
When that day comes, another generation will stand where we now stand.
They will inherit whatever we choose to leave behind.
May they inherit more than brick and mortar.
May they inherit a church that still believes the Bible.
A church that still preaches Jesus Christ without compromise.
A church where prayer remains the foundation.
A church where grace and truth walk together.
A church where children are taught the Scriptures.
A church where families are strengthened.
A church where the broken find hope.

A church where neighbors know they are loved.
A church that serves with humility.
A church that worships with sincerity.
A church that gives God all the glory.
Let it never be said that this generation merely maintained a building.
Let it be said that we strengthened a witness.
Let it never be said that we sought comfort more than obedience.
Let it be said that we pursued Christ above everything else.
Let it never be said that we built our own kingdom.
Let it be said that we faithfully served His.
If the Lord grants another hundred years to Williamson Christian Church, may those who
worship here in the next century remember us for only one thing:
We received a sacred trust.
We loved Christ.
We loved one another.
We faithfully proclaimed His gospel.
We faithfully served our community.
We faithfully passed the torch.
And above all,
We gave all the glory to God.
Now, let us take up this sacred trust with gratitude.
